Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how firstplace.run ("firstplace", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service.

1. Information we collect

When you use firstplace, we may collect:

  • Account information from Google sign-in, such as your name, email address, and profile image
  • Search Console data that you authorize us to read, including site properties and performance metrics (queries, pages, countries, devices, clicks, impressions, and related dimensions)
  • Usage information such as pages visited, features used, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the service

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve firstplace.run
  • Authenticate you and connect to Google Search Console on your behalf
  • Generate visualizations and exports you request
  • Respond to support requests and protect against abuse

3. Google Search Console access

firstplace requests read-only access to Google Search Console (webmasters.readonly). We use this access only to fetch data needed to power your dashboard and exports. We do not modify your Search Console settings.

You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page or by signing out of firstplace.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run firstplace (such as hosting and authentication infrastructure), when required by law, or to protect our rights and users.

5. Data retention

We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Search Console data is generally fetched when you use the product rather than stored long-term for unrelated purposes, unless needed for features you explicitly use (such as saved exports).

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your choices

You can:

  • Sign out of firstplace at any time
  • Revoke Google access from your Google account settings
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account data

8. Children

firstplace is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the product where appropriate.
